Yoruba Nollywood actress Biola Bayo has addressed the recent detention of her assistant, who was caught stealing from her.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, the actress revealed that she took the step to have her assistant jailed after discovering the theft. She further disclosed that, despite being caught, the assistant continues to lie and is attempting to frame her.
Biola, a single mother, expressed her disappointment but noted that she avoids dwelling on people’s flaws. She emphasized that no matter how much effort one puts into pleasing others, some will never be satisfied.
“A lot of times behind our smile is a lot but we still try to make people happy and do our best.
My manager was stealing from me. Even my assistant, after she left, was also stealing. I got her arrested yesterday, and people were asking me to sue her in court, and I said I didn’t want to do that. I wish I listened to them because she is still lying, and they are looking for something to use against me. There is no way you try to please people; you can never satisfy them. If you know me very well, I don’t easily take offense or see people’s fault. I am not perfect but I realize that you can’t satisfy everyone”.
In her caption, she expressed how tired and weak she was as she noted how people will make you question your sanity. Biola appreciated all who reached out to her over the case as she expressed gratitude for their love.
