Veteran Nollywood actress Funmilayo Mary Omikunle has opened up about her health struggles during an interview with Bimpe Akintunde on the Iriri Mi show.
The actress recounted a challenging period when she realized she was unwell but couldn’t identify the cause. After visiting a hospital, doctors conducted tests but found nothing physically wrong, leading to her referral to a psychologist.
Funmilayo’s revelation sheds light on her journey to understanding her condition and highlights the importance of mental health awareness. Her candidness has resonated with fans and viewers, many of whom praised her for speaking openly about her experience.
When I got there, I was asked about my husband, i told them that i dont have a husband that he has died a long time ago. The further asked me that when last did I had sex, I told them that ever since my husband died. One nurse among them even answered, do you hear after the will be saying all actresses used to sleep with men.
It is not someone job that will determine if the will be sleeping around because even before my husband died i have not had sex and after he died i did not also have sex.
I dont like thing or people to make me sad, even if it happened i will take it off my mind.
Inside the entertainment industry I have seen alot, I have three big cameras that many of the actor cant even afford and the person that I gave to as coordinator took everything and ran away.
I almost died during that period, i was trekking on bare foot for one and half years.
