Yoruba actress Toyosi Adesanya recently opened up in an emotional heart-to-heart conversation with colleague Biola Adebayo on her talk show, where she candidly discussed her turbulent marriage and the painful experiences she endured.
Adesanya bravely revealed the hardships she faced due to her unfaithful husband, sharing the emotional toll the troubled marriage took on her and the challenges she had to overcome.
She also offered a sincere gesture to Fathia Balogun, her colleague, who supported her during the storm.
In 2007, Toyosi shared how she faced a series of bizarre miscarriages, one of which left her waking up drenched in blood after having a dream where she saw a haunting image of herself in blood.
According to her, her senior colleague, Fathia Balogun, aware of her devastating ordeal, advised her to seek spiritual intervention.
She said Fathia took her to a traditional healer who prescribed fertility herbs. Toyosi admitted that while she initially thought the herbs worked after getting pregnant, her hopes were crushed when she miscarried yet again.
Determined to find answers, the actress said shevunderwent countless medical tests, but doctors couldn’t pinpoint the cause of her recurring losses. In a desperate attempt to fulfill her dream of becoming a mother, Toyosi averred she turned to IVF multiple times, but to her dismay, those attempts also failed.
Her most heartbreaking experience came when she finally carried a pregnancy to full term, only to tragically lose the baby moments after birth.
Amidst the unbearable grief of losing her child, Toyosi Adesanya shared that her world was further shattered when she discovered that her husband had impregnated another woman during this agonizing time.
The movie star admitted the betrayal nearly broke her spirit, but supportive friends urged her not to let her marriage ruin her health, warning her about the dangers of high blood pressure.
