Yoruba actor Iledo, famously known as Topright, was caught in a whirlwind of shock and anger when his fellow actor, Akinbayode Itunu, stubbornly refused to share a kissing scene with him on set.
The situation escalated into a heated dispute when Akinbayode Itunu firmly declined to engage in the on-screen kiss with Topright during filming.
The film’s actors and staff engaged in a furious confrontation and heated verbal sparring that was captured on camera by viral videos, transforming the entire set into a virtual battleground of opposing viewpoints.
In a circulating video, Topright knelt down, attempting to deliver a kiss in a scene on set. However, Itunu, seated on the bed, shrugged off his advance.
Itunu asserted that adhering to the script’s directive for them to share a kiss was not obligatory, a stance that Topright vehemently contested.
The on-set director stepped in to question Itunu about her refusal to engage in the scripted kiss, to which she cryptically cited personal reasons for her objection. This statement served as a spark, further intensifying Topright’s reaction.
He responded by directly asking Itunu if he had bad breath, intensifying the already charged atmosphere on set.
Astonished, the director sought out the movie producer to express concern over Itunu’s adamant refusal to engage in the scripted kiss with Topright.
The movie producer, unfazed, reminded Itunu that she had been paid for the role and pointedly mentioned her prior acceptance of the script. He questioned why she was now reneging on her commitment to fulfill her designated part in the film.
Expressing unawareness of the kissing scene in the initial script, Itunu responded to continued pressure from Topright, who accused her of disgracing him on set.
Growing frustrated, Itunu stood up, directing her frustration at Topright and those insisting she kiss him during the scene.
This confrontation led the movie producer to suspend the scene until the unresolved matter was sorted out.
