Yomi Fash-Lanso, a seasoned actor, has made it clear that he does not identify as a Nollywood actor, but rather as an actor from Nigeria.
After making this disclosure, he begged fans not to refer to him as a “Nollywood” actor, highlighting his wish to be recognized outside of a specific sector.
He went on to say that he views himself as an actor who is committed to the craft of acting rather than as a celebrity.
Despite his successful career, Yomi, who is 55 years old, jokingly said that he is still rising rather than having reached the peak of his abilities, discouraging admirers from calling him a legend.
Yomi expressed his humble gratitude to his older colleagues, Oga Bello, Baba Wande, Jide Kosoko, Antar Laniyan, and RMD, for their well-earned reputation as Nollywood legends.
“I’m a Nigerian actor, not a Nollywood star; I’m not a legend; I’m just getting started.
“I also own my own business; I sell men’s clothes, watches, and other items. Before entering the film profession, I experimented with a lot of other things,” he stated.
