Nollywood actress Laide Bakare is clarifying the situation regarding her alleged relationship with a mystery man whom she has been showcasing on social media as her partner.
Taking to her Instagram page, the mother of three made it known that she is still husbandless. She stated that the man she has been making videos with is nothing but her colleague. In a video she posted on her Instagram page, she told the media to stop calling him her husband as he is nothing more than a colleague. She disclosed that he played the role of her husband in multiple movies, one of which is Oko Laide.
“Stop it, you guys. I told you the other time that I made a video about my colleague, it was on a movie set. We played husband and w!fe, lover, it was almost like 3 movies back to back. Please he isn’t my husband, the title of the movie is Oko Laide”.
Late last year, Laide Bakare introduced a man on her Instagram page while discussing love, inviting her fans and lover to join them on December 2nd at Amore Garden, Lekki. In another post, she encouraged her fans to find the courage to give love another chance.
Adding to the speculation about her relationship, the actress responded to a troll who questioned her new relationship, defending her man against false accusations. She fiercely replied, asserting her financial independence.
Recently, Laide Bakare sparked reactions online with a loved-up video shared on her TikTok page. In the video, she and her partner could be seen enjoying each other’s company to Psquare’s song, ‘No One Be Like You.’
Addressing her relationship history, Laide Bakare has been married twice. Her first marriage was to American-based businessman Olumide Okufulure, with whom she shares a daughter, Simi. Her second marriage was to Alhaji Mutairu Atanda Orilowo, which produced two sons. However, the marriage ended after he was allegedly involved in fraudulent activities, leading to their separation when he was declared wanted by the EFCC in 2014.
