“Rice is expensive” – Nigerian student grabs attention as he takes Amala, soup to school over inability to afford rice

A young Nigerian student stunned many on social media when he brought rice to school and ate it during break time due to his inability to afford other meals.

This is contained in a video captioned: “Rice is expensive and we can’t do anything but eat what we can afford 😂😂😂 My students with the doings! Life of a Corper.”

In the said video, the student could be seen seated comfortably on his seat as he eats his Amala with soup while his classmates watch.

He dipped the Amala into the bowl of soup carefully placed on his leg while some of his friends surrounded him in surprise at the menu he brought to school.

Not long after the video made its way to social media, concerned individuals stormed the comment page of the post to share their thoughts.
