Nigerian singer Ayra Starr is facing criticism online for dancing with the veteran juju musician King Sunny Ade and other notable dignitaries.
The video was shared to Twitter by user, @gemyoruba, where he called her out for her actions.
In the video, she could be seen getting introduced to the men who were seated close to Burna Boy’s mother.
According to Yoruba culture and considering their honorary status, Ayra Starr was expected to kneel while greeting.
However, the young artiste stood and shook their hands in the form of greetings.
This enraged so many Netizens who believed she was disrespectful and not a true daughter of the soil.
