Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi, a Nollywood actress, takes a strong stance against piracy by apprehending five individuals attempting to sell her movie, “Malaika,” currently screening in cinemas nationwide.
During a press conference, the mother of one revealed how she was hinted on the rampant piracy move, stating that a link sent to her contains her movie and another one, which many summised to be A Tribe Called Judah.
There have been reports of leakage of A Tribe Called Judah since the 2nd week of the movie release in the cinema.
Speaking on the link sent to her, Toyin Abraham disclosed that she nearly went mad because she doesn’t over five hundred million naira on the movie project. She went on to speak about her frequent hospital visits and panic attack.
About the actions taken to curb the spread of the malicious link, the actress disclosed that the links were destroyed and 5 suspects have been arrested regarding the issue.
“This is not a fight for myself or anything. It is for the creative and entertainment industry.
I took it upon myself to fight this fight against piracy. I am a victim. I am not okay. I am coming from the hospital. I had panic attack, shooting a movie for over 500 million naira. I saw my movie and another movie. I wanted to run mad when I saw Malaika,” Toyin Abraham’s part speech.
