Nollywood actor Shoneye Olamilekan, also known as Papa Showw, issues a sincere apology to his colleague Temidayo Morkinyo after a regrettable incident where he physically confronted her on a movie set.
Naijalegit reported in May that Temidayo had accused Papa Showw of physically assaulting her on a movie set.
In a series of posts on her Instagram story, Temidayo claimed that the actor had stormed her movie set in Ibadan, Oyo State with some boys to beat her up, for reporting his unruly behavior to her bosses.
She narrated the incident of how she reported him to her bosses, Afeez Abiodun Seriki and Niyi Johnson for insulting her, and how he stormed her set with some people to beat her up after he was reprimanded.
Now, the Yoruba star is apologizing to her for the incident. In an interview with Biola Bayo on her talk show, Talk To B, he tendered a heartfelt apology to her and promised never to repeat such.
“I am using this video to say I am truly sorry for what happened in the last few months between I and Temidayo.
What is gone is gone and I feel like even to her personally, who is Temidayo, from the bottom of my heart, I am saying that I am truly sorry for what happened to you. I am truly sorry”.
Recall that his action cost him a lot as he was suspended from AFRIMEK.
The African Men Entertainment Kings (AFRIMEK) in a letter signed by the Mayor, Femi Adebayo, had distanced itself from the actor, stating that his actions do not represent the identity for which their club stands for and has been known to present.
His shameful act had left the association sanctioning him and placing him on immediate suspension.
In his first statement following the incident, he revealed that he was back on his feet and ready to resume work after laying low for a while.
Papa Showw stated that so much time has been lost and many words have been left unsaid, and further spoke in proverbs. For him, it was a new dawn and a new beginning.
