It’s been 6 months Postpartum and I’m so grateful for it all. The Journey to 6 months ago was crazy but I’m thankful. From not being able to eat to needles in my veins everyday Pregnancy showed me premium shege.
Tears and “tears” later my sweet boy comes and he’s swallowed meconium. I know how my heart almost stopped when he wouldn’t cry at first; I threw my pain aside and prayed his breathing would stabilise when he finally cried. I’d take a once-in-a-lifetime return trip to plead with God face to face that this first fruit of mine be fine. Needles piercing his tender skin seemed like pain but the sight caused me more pain.
Six days later I’m able to go home with my son then its circumcision time.
Motherhood is a beautiful journey in its totality; you can’t take away the pain as it’ll be incomplete. I’m so grateful for the gift of this experience, I won’t have it another way.
I keep getting better each day and every time I feel unworthy my son smiles and total acceptance of me fills my heart with Gratitude to God
