“I expect you to go back and tell other radio stations to start playing Marlian record music by now,” a man tells Oriyomi Hamzat.

A concerned individual has challenged popular Ibadan-based radio broadcaster Oriyomi Hamzat to reconsider his earlier directive, wherein he banned all Marlian Records’ music from playing on his radio station, Agidigbo FM, when Mohbad’s case first started.

Recalling that shortly after Mohbad’s death, Oriyomi Hamzat issued the directive, a recent update reveals that the police investigation found no connection between Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and Mohbad’s death.

In response, the concerned individual addressed Oriyomi Hamzat, reminding him of the ban imposed by his radio station during the aftermath of the tragic event.

The individual expressed that he expected Oriyomi Hamzat to revert his statement now that the court has stated that there is no connection between Marlian Records and Mohbad’s death.

He emphasized the importance of making proper findings before taking such a step, as artists like Zinoleesky under the label are innocent, and their careers are at stake.

In his words,”Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, when Mohbad’s case started, you told the radio stations in Ibadan not to play any music from the Marlian records. Now that the court has said they know nothing about his de*th, I expect you to go back and tell the radio stations to be playing their music.

The artistes under the label e.g Zino are innocent and their career is at stake. If zino was your son, you would have made the right findings before banning their music. If you have anything against Marlian music, come out and say it. Please do the needful sir”.
