His commitment to his regular job is earning him praise for staying grounded despite the significant win.
Esbon Macharia, a businessman from Thika town, won the SportPesa jackpot by correctly predicting all 13 matches on the midweek jackpot played on November 24. His successful prediction earned him KSh 27 million (over N139 million).
SportPesa proudly announced the winner of Kshs. 27,041,645 in the Midweek Jackpot, stating, “We have a winner!”
SportPesa treated Macharia to a presidential-like motorcade, complete with police motorcycle outriders, during his unveiling on Tuesday, November 28.
He was picked up from his shop in Thika and driven to Nairobi, where he received his winnings. Despite his newfound wealth, Macharia returned to work at his hardware shop on the same day.
Images shared online showed him walking the SportPesa team through his premises and arranging cement bags.
