Nollywood actress and film director, Sola Kosoko, has offered fans a glimpse into her married life.
The movie star, in an interview with colleague, Biola Bayo revealed that she met her husband when she was 20 years and by that time, he had finished his Tertiary education.
According to her, she never had it in mind to marry her husband because of their religion as she is a Christian and he is a Muslim. However, her husband was able to stand the test of time.
“I actually met my husband when I was very young, I was 20 when I met him. He was already a graduate, I think he was writing his final exams in Higher Institution and he spoke to me.
My husband was able to stand the test of time. I didn’t have the mind to marry him because he is a Muslim and I am a Christian. We courted for a long time before we got married”.
In an interview, Shola Kosoko expressed her perspective on divorces, emphasizing the significance of personal choice, especially when it profoundly impacts one’s life.
She highlighted the challenges women face when seeking advice in critical situations and emphasized the importance of a woman’s autonomy in decision-making. Using a popular Yoruba adage, she conveyed the idea that women should have the agency to make their own choices, underscoring that no marriage is worth risking one’s life.
Shola Kosoko, daughter of Jide Kosoko, has been happily married to Abiodun Abinna for over 10 years, with three children – two girls and a boy.
Naijalegit reported that a day after turning 42, Sola Kosoko joyfully announced the arrival of a baby boy. Sharing charming birthday portraits, she expressed gratitude to God for the new addition to her family.
Following this, she hosted a star-studded celebration at her home attended by colleagues like Yinka Quadri, Toyin Tomato, Jide Kosoko, and Bidemi Kosoko.
Last year, on their 10th wedding anniversary, Sola Kosoko showered praise on her husband in a love-filled video.
She celebrated a decade of being with her wonderful, awesome, and courageous goal-getter husband, highlighting his role as an amazing spouse and an incredible father to their child. She offered prayers for more years of celebration together.
