Renowned Nigerian comedian and artist, Debo Adedayo Adebowale, popularly known as Mr. Macaroni, joyfully celebrates receiving an honorary doctorate from Precious Cornerstone University in Ibadan.
Leveraging his social media platform, Mr. Macaroni, recognized for his outspoken comedic style and role as the “Daddy wa” sugar daddy, shared the exciting news of being conferred an honorary doctorate degree with his supporters.
During the university’s second convocation ceremony held today, November 11, the comedian was honored with the title of Doctor of Creative Writing (Honoris Causa)..
The 30-year-old luminary gained prominence for his steadfast backing of the #EndSARS protest in 2020. Despite becoming a victim of police brutality himself, Debo consistently utilized his platform and actively participated in protest events to advocate against such injustice.
In his recent post, he expressed, “Dr. Macaroni. 👨🏾🎓🎉. I am deeply honored to be considered worthy by the Senate and Council of The Precious Cornerstone University Ibadan, deserving of public recognition and the prestigious award of the degree of DOCTOR OF CREATIVE WRITING (HONORIS CAUSA).”
Expressing gratitude, he stated, “I am grateful to God Almighty for His blessings and favor, The Council, staff, and students of Precious Corner Stone University Ibadan, my family, friends, and all supporters of Mr. Macaroni.”
Addressing the countless individuals striving for their dreams and putting in daily effort to realize their aspirations, he encouraged, “Don’t stop, don’t relent! You will be celebrated! Thank you all. Dr. Macaroni loves you.”
