A Madonna University, Okija, 100-level student faced expulsion from the institution for participating in the trending ‘ceiling challenge’ on TikTok.
The ceiling challenge, also known as the Phone On Ceiling Trend, is a TikTok challenge where participants affix their phones to the ceiling and record themselves dancing, posing, and twerking, providing a unique bird’s-eye-view perspective.
Set to J.I.D’s ‘Surround Sound’, the trend gained popularity on the app during October and November 2023.
Nevertheless, the young lady, with the TikTok handle @Gennydbaddie, enthusiastically embraced the challenge, showcasing herself in the video with half-naked attire and energetically moving her waist to the rhythm of the song.
Upon discovering the video, Madonna University authorities promptly expelled her from the institution.
