Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi criticizes his colleague Iyabo Ojo over her allegations that the embattled singer Naira Marley drugged her children.
Iyabo Ojo, a celebrity who has been vocal in her support for the late singer Mohbad, recently claimed that Naira Marley was spiking her children’s food with drugs whenever they visited him.
She claimed that the singer used to give drugs to her two children, Priscilla and Festus, whenever they visited, and she emphasized that there were witnesses who could confirm her allegations.
In response, Yomi Fabiyi questioned why the actress didn’t take any action if she had such concerns and criticized her for still considering herself a mother. He also raised questions about why she was sending her adult children to his house.
Yomi Fabiyi stated that he believes the movie star fabricated the lie to further implicate Naira Marley. He expressed his disbelief that a good mother would allow someone to harm her children and remain silent about it.
Yomi also suggested that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) should question and investigate her children in this matter.
He wrote “I find it puzzling that Iyabo sent her adult children to Naira Marley’s house, especially when she claimed he was putting drugs in their food. She portrayed herself as a mother, yet she never took a stand for her children at that time. Perhaps she concocted this accusation to implicate Naira. If her daughter was indeed laced with drugs, it raises questions about her involvement. A concerned mother would typically not stay silent in such a situation. Surprisingly, both the NDLEA and the police seem to be maintaining their silence in response to her allegations. It’s disheartening to see how our country can improve when such issues are left unaddressed. It would be reasonable for the NDLEA to invite her for an investigation involving her children.”
These allegations surfaced following a confrontation by the social media activist, Very Dark Man, who brought up Iyabo Ojo’s previous association with the disgraced singer.
For several days, the two engaged in a heated online battle, revealing unsavory details about each other. Very Dark Man even provided video evidence to support his claim that Iyabo Ojo and Naira Marley had a close connection in the past.
According to Very Dark Man, their bond was so strong that Naira Marley sent Iyabo flowers. In the video, VDM insinuated that Iyabo initially believed the flowers were meant for her daughter, suggesting a deeper connection between Naira Marley, Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, and herself.
Iyabo Ojo responded by delving into Very Dark Man’s past, highlighting how society has used slut-shaming as a weapon against women, a tactic that has long lost its effectiveness.
She also asserted that her detractors and critics would need to assemble an army because they couldn’t measure up to her.
