Renowned Nollywood actress and producer, Toyin Abraham, candidly shared her experience of being physically assaulted on a movie set before achieving fame.
She revealed this during a recent interview with BBC Pidgin. When discussing her journey to fame, the beloved actress stated,
“I never see road wey smooth. I have traveled, been to London, Canada, America, searching for a smooth path, but it’s not there. You will encounter something; nothing is smooth. Challenges will always arise. But all those big ones, they have beaten me on set quite a lot, just because I’ve become a star? Different things have happened, but those are in the past. So, challenges must always exist.”
The Nollywood actress gained even more popularity with her self-produced movie ‘Alakada,’ which she mentioned is her favorite film to date.
