“God will guide us through this” – Actor Rotimi Salami’s wife expresses her concerns as her son asks her to choose between him and his father.

Jumoke Salami, the wife of Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami, expressed her concerns about an unusual question her son asked her.

On her Instagram page, this savvy businesswoman shared that she was taken aback when her son asked her to choose between him and his father, questioning who was more important to her.

Lamenting the question, she prayed for God’s guidance in raising her children, acknowledging that they often come up with questions that are quite logical and require careful consideration before answering.

She emphasized the need for wisdom in parenting and mentioned that she is still curious about how her son came up with such a question.

In a recent interaction with my son, he came to my room and asked, “Mummy, I have a question for you.”

I inquired, “What’s your question?”

He then asked, “Who is more important? Your children or your husband? No, I mean your children or my daddy?”

I couldn’t help but pray for wisdom in dealing with these children. They have a way of coming up with questions that are so well-thought-out that you mustn’t hastily respond. Wisdom is always necessary.

I also asked him how he came up with such a question, and he simply replied that he had thought about it. E Pele oo, my little deep thinker.

In response to her son’s thought-provoking question, colleagues and fans offered their opinions and advice.

Jide Awobona urged her to answer the question, while Allwell Ademola encouraged her to take the microphone.

One fan advised her to respond by saying that both her children and her husband are important. Another fan playfully suggested that she should subtly ask her son who he prefers between his mother and father to align their thoughts.

However, it’s important to note that the discussion about children showing favoritism for one parent over the other is common among parents, as highlighted by examples from skitmaker Kiekie and actress Toyin Abraham, who have experienced similar situations with their own children.
