Controversial Nigerian artist Naira Marley has unequivocally denied any connection between DJ Splash and Marlian Music, as well as the claim that DJ Splash ever served as his official DJ. Naira Marley made this statement during an interview with former presidential spokesperson Reno Omokri in response to allegations suggesting that he had a negative impact on DJ Splash’s life.
In a recent interview with actress Iyabo Ojo, DJ Splash had alleged that Naira Marley and his associates conspired to harm him while he was associated with them.
Naira Marley clarified that DJ Splash was never signed to his Marlian Music record label, and any association between them was solely based on a photograph they took together, without any formal professional arrangement.
In his own words, Naira Marley stated, “DJ Splash was never signed to Marlian Music. I know him as a DJ, but he has never deejayed for me at any shows or events. He isn’t my official DJ; they simply gave him that title because I happened to take a photo with him. Despite my friendly nature, there are many people who come and go around me.
Regarding whatever happened to him, he was not at my residence at that time; he was somewhere else, far from where I was. I’m baffled by where all these claims are coming from. DJ Splash, DJ, or whatever, I can’t comprehend the source of these allegations.
It’s all falsehoods; they’re bringing in individuals from nowhere to propagate lies. To set the record straight, he was never my DJ, was never signed to Marlian Music, and has never worked for Marlian Music.”
