Seyi Tinubu, the son of Nigeria’s president, has earned widespread praise and admiration from Nigerians for his recent act of kindness towards the late singer Mohbad’s son.

Seyi Tinubu has caught the public’s attention by gifting Mohbad’s son, Liam Light, a substantial N15 million following the GoFundMe campaign created for the late Mohbad’s child.

This generous transaction occurred on the evening of September 21, 2023, around 6:38 PM.

As previously reported by Intel Region, music executive Samklef confirmed in a tweet that Nigerians had raised over 32 million naira for Mohbad’s 5-month-old son. Seyi Tinubu’s recent contribution has increased the total amount to N47 million.

Confirming this generous act, Tunde Ednut posted the following statement: “Seyi Tinubu, the son of Nigeria’s president, has donated a substantial sum of N15 million to musician Mohbad’s son. This information was disclosed by the President’s special assistant on social media, Segun Dada. An account was opened for the late singer’s son last week to support Mohbad’s bereaved family. Thus far, more than N35 million has been raised.”

Mohbad’s tragic passing occurred on Tuesday, September 12, at the age of 27, leaving behind his parents, his sole son, Liam, and his wife.

The death of the “Ko Po Ke” artist has triggered nationwide outrage, with Nigerians vehemently advocating for justice in the wake of numerous videos that have surfaced after his demise.

Mohbad reportedly endured physical assault, harassment, intimidation, and lived in a constant state of fear after parting ways with his former record label, Marlian Records, owned by the controversial Nigerian rapper Afeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley.

Furthermore, the Lagos State Police Command has initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the late singer’s death, with the Department of State Services (DSS) expected to join the inquiry, as announced by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

At the time of this report, the nurse who attended to the singer has been apprehended, while nationwide protests continue, demanding justice.
