Mohbad’s father reveals the reason why he buried his son quickly

Mohbad’s father, Mr. Joseph Aloba, has finally shed light on the reason behind the swift burial of his late son, the Nigerian artist Mohbad.

Many Nigerians had expressed their perplexity and concern regarding Mohbad’s sudden demise and the rapidity of his burial, particularly in what appeared to be unfavorable circumstances.

In a recent development, Mr. Joseph Aloba, the father of Mohbad, has provided an explanation for the hurried burial of his late son.

It should be noted that there were widespread complaints from Nigerians about the unsuitability of Mohbad’s burial site, which was located adjacent to a cassava farm and appeared incongruous for a celebrity of his stature.

Mohbad’s father provided an explanation for the swift burial of his son in a video posted on Instagram by @temilolasobola.

He clarified that due to the young age at which Mohbad passed away, it was customary in Yoruba culture not to delay the burial. He mentioned that if Mohbad had been older at the time of his death, they might have considered keeping his body in the mortuary for a longer period.

In his words, he stated, “In Yoruba land, his corpse is not the kind to be kept when both of his parents are still alive. Assuming he died at an older age, we might have considered putting his body in the mortuary and taking it at a later date. That same night we took him away from there and buried him where we did.”

Mohbad’s father also mentioned that the land where they buried his son was the only property he knew Mohbad to own. He explained that even though Mohbad had given him the land to build his church, he chose to bury him there because he was not aware of any other land owned by his son.
