In response to the growing public concerns and an initial police review of the circumstances surrounding the passing of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, the Commissioner of Police for the Lagos State Command, Idowu Owohunwa, has established a specialized investigative team.
This decision comes after the Nigerian Police Force, through its social media channels, announced its commitment to conducting a thorough investigation into Mohbad’s demise.
The newly formed committee, comprising a legal team and a forensic team, will conduct a discreet investigation that includes tasks such as exhumation, autopsy, scene analysis, obtaining hospital/medical reports, and gathering records of suspects, among other relevant actions.

In light of the unfortunate passing of Ileri Oluwa Oladimeji, popularly known as Mohbad, aged 27, on September 12th, 2023, and recognizing the significant public interest in the matter, the Command has established a dedicated investigative team.
This team’s primary mission is to uncover the circumstances surrounding the victim’s death, identify potential witnesses, ascertain any individuals involved, and engage any persons who may aid the investigative process. The team will utilize various methods, including technological tools, in accordance with the applicable provisions of Nigerian law.
