“We Bought A Very Cheap Cloth And Casket To Bury Him, See Where We Live, I Hustle Around To Pay Rent”- Mohbad father reveals How Poor They’re

Mr. Joseph Ayoba, the father of the late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as MohBad, has opened up about how his son did not manage his earnings wisely.

In his own words, he said, “MohBad was a kind-hearted child who often encouraged me. The last money he gave me was N20,000 on Saturday to buy fuel. I wasn’t pleased with him because he didn’t build a house, and the new house he moved to was rented, so I didn’t visit him.

His wife took full control of him to the extent that she was the one who purchased a pickup truck for me, yet she regularly transferred his money to her mother. Nigerians should investigate the mother’s account balance.

BVN will reveal every transaction made in my son’s name to her. After buying the pickup, they didn’t provide me with money for its maintenance, and I was still struggling to pay my rent. But I’m happy he was an honorable child, and he didn’t tarnish my name.”

He went on to say that his son’s wife and her family members had significant control over him and never allowed him to transfer money to him. He believed they used supernatural means on him, as his son would often give excuses. Joseph Ayoba described his son as his best friend and partner, highlighting that they collaborated on composing some of his songs. He also mentioned that MohBad had plans to return to gospel music later in life.
