Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force, has expressed their anticipation for Bella Shmurda’s cooperation in sharing details about the circumstances leading to Mohbad’s passing.
As the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Adejobi emphasized that the information provided by singer Bella Shmurda, a close friend of the late rapper Mohbad, will be instrumental in their investigation.
Recall that Intel Region had previously reported the controversial demise of the renowned singer Mohbad on Tuesday, September 12th, at the age of 27. Subsequently, on Thursday, authorities announced the initiation of an investigation into the singer’s passing.
Furthermore, the police department has issued a call for individuals with pertinent information, particularly friends and family of the late musician, to come forward.
Kemi Olunloyo, a self-proclaimed controversial investigative journalist, issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Bella Shmurda on Saturday, urging him to cooperate with the police.
“Bella Shmurda,” she stated on her X account, “I’m giving you 48 hours to contact @PoliceNG and engage with @Princemoye1 or the Force CID Ikoyi.“
Adejobi, the police spokesperson, shared her message, adding, “I am anticipating his response.“
During an interview, Bella Shmurda revealed that Mohbad had made a suicide attempt after a dispute with Naira Marley’s record label, Marlian Music. Bella Shmurda also alleged that the late artist had been receiving threats.
