Renowned Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, disclosed that her initial experience with poverty occurred during her marriage to her former husband, Mr. Ademidun Ojo.
She shared this revelation during an interview with TV personality Toke Makinwa on “Toke Moments.”
She explained that she had encountered her husband during her early and less experienced years, and he had initially captivated her with a facade of a lavish lifestyle.
During their dating phase, she uncovered that he was actually residing in a modest “Face-me-I-slap-you” apartment, a stark contrast to the image he had presented.
Iyabo Ojo explained that it was during this period that she truly understood the concept of living in poverty because she had always experienced a life of luxury throughout her earlier years.
She reminisced about how, even as far back as 1996, she had access to as much as N100,000, so she had never been in a state of poverty.
Nonetheless, she revealed that what she had been seeking all along was not wealth but attention, which her ex-husband had provided, ultimately winning her affection.
