Nigerians are expressing their grief online as the lifeless body of the singer Mohbad has surfaced on the internet.
Today, on September 12th, 2023, the news broke that the popular Nigerian singer Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, has passed away at the age of 27.
Prominent figures such as Olamide, Ovie, TG Omori, Do2dtun, and others have confirmed his death. However, at the time of this report, the cause of his passing remains unclear.
Mohbad, before his untimely demise, was previously signed to Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records” but left the label in 2022. He was widely recognized for his hit singles, including “Peace,” “Ponmo,” “Feel Good,” and “KPK (Ko Por Ke)” with Rexxie. The latter song earned three nominations at The Headies awards in 2022.
In a heartbreaking turn of events, a friend of Mohbad shared a video of the singer’s lifeless body, adding to the sorrowful atmosphere surrounding his sudden passing.
