“A Young Nigerian Woman Tragically Passes Away During Flight to London
A young Nigerian lady met an untimely death aboard an Egypt Air flight while en route to London, United Kingdom. The woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, embarked on her journey from Nigeria to London on Monday, September 4, using Egypt Air MS 876 from Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos.
According to reports from Daily Trust, the tragic incident occurred during the flight. The airline, however, transported the deceased’s body to Cairo, the capital of Egypt, without prior notification to her family.
A source close to the family commented, ‘The airline didn’t inform them, but rather they received a message from the consular office in Cairo informing them of her in-flight passing. They are desperately seeking answers regarding the circumstances of her death and the process for repatriating her remains to Nigeria.’
The deceased young woman was traveling to London on a student visa and had taken Egypt Air as part of her connecting flight to reach her destination, Egypt Air MS777, scheduled for the following day.
At the time of reporting, Egypt Air had not issued an immediate response, and a source connected to the airline noted that they were awaiting information from Cairo regarding the incident.”
