Nollywood actress Bimpe Akintunde recently shared a heartwarming story about her daughter, Princess Amida, on the occasion of her birthday. Bimpe recounts how her daughter’s innocent request for a father figure brought tears to her eyes.
In an Instagram post, Bimpe describes how Princess Amida would persistently urge her to get married and express her longing for a father. The young girl even confided in Bimpe’s sister about her heartfelt wish.
Bimpe admits that these requests left her devastated, causing her to shed tears and express frustration over her inability to fulfill her daughter’s yearning for a father. Despite her best efforts, finding a suitable partner seemed to be a challenging task.
The Yoruba star further reveals that her daughter also expressed a desire for siblings, frequently asking for them. In response, Bimpe would advise her daughter to pray to God for her desires.
However, Bimpe now expresses her gratitude as her daughter has found a father figure in her husband. The bond they share fills her heart with joy and appreciation.
In a birthday note dedicated to her daughter, Bimpe shares her journey, saying:
“Dear Daughter, I want to specifically congratulate you as Almighty chose to answer your request and prayers… Do you know that @iamprincessamida knew I do not have a husband? Precisely when she was 5 years old, she said, and I quote, ‘Only you will be sleeping in this [bed] every day!! You don’t have a husband!! Go and Marry O.’ On this day, I cried!!! At the same time, she told my sister-in-law and assumed I have a father now!!! I was devastated!!! I cried, complained, and lamented that after all I am trying my best for her. As she continues to grow, she keeps asking for siblings.”
Bimpe goes on to express the hardships she faced and her efforts to find a suitable partner. She shares her joy and gratitude for the blessing of her husband, who has become a father figure to Princess Amida. She thanks him for embracing her daughter as his own and showing her fatherly love.
