Liz Da Silva, a popular Yoruba actress in Nollywood, is currently facing a DNA scandal involving the paternity of her child. Reports indicate that her former partner, Alhaji Yemi Olaoye, who is not her husband, has requested a DNA test to determine if he is the biological father of their baby boy.
Despite never being married, Liz Da Silva and Yemi Olaoye were involved in a relationship. However, their association came to an end when Yemi Olaoye’s legal wife, Zainab Olaoye, gave birth to a baby boy in the United States.
According to insiders, Yemi Olaoye abandoned Liz Da Silva and their 3-year-old son, Abdulroheem Olasunkanmi, upon discovering that the actress had been unfaithful to him with MC Oluomo, the leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
Upon reconciling with his wife, Yemi Olaoye ceased all financial support to Liz Da Silva and their son. He even refused to cover her housing expenses, leaving her in a difficult situation.
It is worth noting that Liz Da Silva converted from Christianity to Islam a few years ago to please Yemi Olaoye, who is reportedly involved in the oil and gas business. She changed her name to Aishat Olaoye after the Islamic naming ceremony, expressing her preference for the new name.
During the period when Yemi Olaoye abandoned Liz Da Silva, she allegedly confessed to him that their son was not biologically his and asked for forgiveness. In response, Yemi Olaoye requested a DNA test to ascertain the truth. However, the actress has not fulfilled this request, despite the ongoing pressure.
Currently, Liz Da Silva has reconnected with MC Oluomo and he has assisted her in finding a suitable apartment in Lagos. It is worth mentioning that during Liz’s pregnancy, there were strong rumors suggesting that MC Oluomo was the father of her child.
Ultimately, only Liz Da Silva knows the true identity of her baby’s father, although some individuals believe the child bears a resemblance to Alhaji Yemi Olaoye based on the available photographs. The DNA test remains pending, and it is yet to be determined if it will be conducted in the future.
