Prominent socialite and businessman, Ola of Lagos, reflects on his days of struggle as a cleaner while expressing gratitude to God for his fleet of cars and other properties.
Having gained fame as a car dealer in recent years, Ola of Lagos has become one of the most renowned businessmen in Africa.
In an Instagram post, Ola of Lagos reminisced about the challenging times when he worked as a cleaner and had to beg for transport fare to move around Lagos State. Sharing pictures of two of his exotic cars and his house, he wrote:
“Although these cars may pale in comparison to many other garages, I still have to appreciate God for what He has done because He’s just getting started…
“I used to be a cleaner, and I remember when I couldn’t even afford bus fare from Lekki to Ajah. Sometimes, I would ask strangers to give me a lift so we could split the cost. Now, things have changed (Thank God), and the best part is that God has even more in store for me. I haven’t seen anything yet. God is too good, and my heart is pure.
“Count your blessings, give thanks because He has much more in store… And don’t let other people’s opinions hinder you from pursuing your dreams. Do you. Shout out to everyone who has supported me from day one until now. I truly appreciate it.”
He took a moment to express his gratitude to the well-known blogger and entertainer, Tunde Ednut, for supporting him since the beginning of his career.
He concluded by saying, “A special shout out to @mufasatundeednut, the father of many. I appreciate, appreciate, appreciate. You can watch my story on YouTube if you’re not aware of how Ola of Lagos started. I’m now a global figure (on the top 10 most talked about all over Africa). Stop playing.”
