Nigerian actress Jaiye Kuti recently shared her distressing experience of being stranded in late-night traffic in the Apapa area of Lagos, along with her children.
On her Instagram page, the veteran actress posted videos showing herself and her children walking home after being stuck in traffic for hours. She appealed for prayers, describing the situation as disheartening, and called on the government to take action against trailers operating at night.
Requesting prayers for herself and her children, Jaiyeola wrote, “Please keep us in your prayers. This situation is truly distressing! Can the government take action regarding the trailers on Apapa Wharf Road? I am walking home at night with my children.”
In a subsequent update, Jaiyeola expressed gratitude to God for their safe arrival at home. However, her driver remained stuck in traffic, and she prayed for his safe return.
“My car and driver are still on the bridge. May God guide him safely. Alhamdulillah, we made it home. Thank you, everyone, for your support. God bless you all abundantly. I sincerely hope the government addresses the ongoing issues on Apapa Wharf Road.”
