Abdullahi Maruf Adisa, better known as Trinity Guy, a popular social media comedian celebrated for his skits, has found himself in a significant controversy following a highly contentious prank that has garnered widespread attention on various social media platforms. The prank involved a 10-year-old girl, raising serious concerns and sparking outrage among viewers.
Consequently, Trinity Guy has been summoned by the Oyo State Police Command, as announced in a tweet shared on the command’s official Twitter account on Thursday.
“Abdullahi Maruf Adisa, popularly known as Trinity, a prominent content creator, has been contacted and invited to the Oyo State Police Command in relation to the disturbing viral skit content circulating on social media involving a minor girl. It is worth noting that the spokesperson of the Nigerian Police, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, had previously issued a warning to skit makers who rely on pranks for their content, urging them to exercise restraint as their actions endanger the lives of Nigerians.
In a recent development, the Force Public Relations Officer reiterated the call for the immediate arrest of the prankster, accusing him of targeting a 10-year-old girl in a distressing prank.
Describing the video as “rubbish and criminal,” the Force PRO emphasized the need for Trinity Guy’s arrest and subsequent court charges.
In a statement, he expressed his strong disapproval, stating, “This is unacceptable and criminal. This individual should be apprehended and brought before the court. We will take action as soon as possible. I strongly condemn this scene. It constitutes child abuse!”
