In a video that went viral on Monday, June 12, a concerned businessman expressed his dissatisfaction with Chef Dammy’s ongoing cookathon and made her an enticing proposition. He offered to give Chef Dammy a significant sum of 1 million naira if she immediately ceased her cooking extravaganza. This offer comes amidst growing criticism directed towards Chef Dammy’s cookathon, which is currently taking place in Oye, Ekiti state.
The businessman clarified that he does not oppose Chef Dammy’s passion for cooking, but he believes it is premature considering that Hilda Baci recently concluded her own cooking marathon. The businessman suggested that it would have been wiser for Chef Dammy to wait for confirmation of Hilda’s achievement by the Guinness World Records before commencing her own culinary endeavor.
It is important to note that Hilda Baci completed her remarkable cookathon in May, having tirelessly cooked for an astonishing 100 hours. She has already submitted evidence of her cooking to the Guinness World Records for verification. If her evidence is successfully authenticated, Hilda Baci will secure the record for the longest individual cooking marathon, surpassing Lata Tondon’s previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes.
The businessman expressed his belief that it is unethical for Dammy to set up her own cookathon while Hilda’s record is yet to be confirmed.
He stated that if Dammy stops cooking and cancels the cookathon, he will give her 1 million naira. The video was posted by @yabaleftonline.
