A recently surfaced video features Sophia Momodu, the first baby mama of singer Davido, expressing her heartfelt lament about single motherhood.
During an Instagram live session with her fans, Sophia reveals her deepest fears becoming a reality. She candidly shares that she never desired to be a single parent, but unfortunately, her fears have taken hold of her life.
Sophia explains that while growing up, she always dreaded the idea of raising a child on her own. However, now she finds herself living that very reality.
“The worst fear I had has come true, so there’s nothing else in life that can scare me anymore. I never wanted to raise a child alone, and now I am doing it. I am living it, and there’s nothing anyone can do to change that,” she expresses with a heavy heart.
Following Sophia Momodu’s recent rant and complaints about her co-parenting struggles with Davido, a video has emerged, adding fuel to the fire.
In the video, Sophia Momodu expresses her intention to change her daughter’s surname, dropping the Adeleke name, which is Davido’s last name.
Ever since Davido’s marriage to Chioma Rowland, the relationship between Davido and Sophia Momodu has turned sour. They have unfollowed each other on Instagram, and Sophia Momodu has been posting cryptic messages, indicating the messy situation between them.
After publicly accusing Davido of being financially abusive towards her, Sophia Momodu asserts that she fulfills both the roles of father and mother for their daughter, Imade.
On her Snapchat page, Sophia reveals her eagerness to change Imade’s last name from Adeleke to Momodu, following in the footsteps of Tonto Dikeh, who made a similar decision. She implies that Davido is not fulfilling his responsibilities as a father.
During a question and answer session with her fans, Sophia hints at their ongoing conflict, suggesting that Davido used to take care of Imade because of her, but now that she has moved on, he no longer wants to fulfill his duties towards their daughter.
