Nollywood actress Bimpe Akintunde has opened up about her greatest fear, which revolves around the concept of friendship.
The popular Yoruba movie star expressed her concern over the alarming rate at which friendships break down, often leading to former best friends airing their grievances in public. She acknowledged that while it’s unrealistic to expect children to remain friends for a lifetime, it shouldn’t result in lifelong enmity.
As a single mother, Bimpe Akintunde expressed gratitude to God for granting her grace and maturity. She shared her approach to ending friendships, stating that she simply fades away without confrontation. She emphasized that although she closes the chapter on such relationships, she still wishes her former friends well.
“Nothing scares me more than friendship. The way these bonds crumble is truly alarming. It breaks my heart to witness best friends turning into enemies, resorting to online battles, airing their dirty laundry for all to see! Of course, it’s natural for childhood friendships to evolve over time, but it shouldn’t breed lifelong animosity. I’m thankful for the grace and maturity bestowed upon me by God. When our time together is done, I quietly fade away. Your chapter in my life closes, but I genuinely hope for your well-being.”
