Nollywood actor Adedimeji Lateef has secured a significant role in Kunle Afolayan’s ongoing Anikulapo series.
Lateef took to his Instagram page to announce the news, sharing behind-the-scenes photos from the series’ current production.
While the actor did not disclose the specifics of his character or the series’ plot, the shared photos indicated his integral involvement in the storyline.
Lateef revealed that Anikulapo will be a four-part series exclusively available on Netflix.
Previously, actors Kunle Remi and Bimbo Ademoye portrayed the lead characters Saro and Arolake in the movie.
Lateef’s colleagues, including Kunle Remi, Aisha Lawal, and Yewande Adekoya, showed support by responding with heartwarming captions and emojis.
In another noteworthy role, Adedimeji Lateef portrayed Bola Ahmed Tinubu in a biopic about the President of Nigeria.
For his exceptional performance in biopic films, Lateef was given the moniker “Jagaban.”
He dedicated his portrayal as Jagaban to Bola Ahmed Tinubu and revealed the premiere date of the upcoming movie.
Lateef expressed his honor in depicting Tinubu’s remarkable story in the film titled “Jagaban: Last Man Standing.”
As the movie is set to premiere in May 2023, he extended birthday wishes to Tinubu, wishing him a peaceful and successful time as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, while emphasizing his admiration and gratitude.
