Renowned Nigerian comedian Kenny Blaq found himself in an unexpected situation during his recent visit to a hotel on the day of President Bola Tinubu’s inauguration.
During his arrival at the hotel, Kenny Blaq was taken aback when he noticed a prominently displayed photograph of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, still adorning the reception wall.
Kenny Blaq had initially planned to make a reservation at the hotel but was taken aback by the presence of the previous president’s portrait, expressing his surprise and disappointment.
He voiced his astonishment, saying, “Na Buhari still be president for here oh, ahn ahn… we can’t afford it.” His statement indicated that the hotel’s failure to replace the portrait with that of President Tinubu suggested a lack of preparedness for the new era.
A video capturing the incident showcased the receptionist and another staff member trying to appease Kenny Blaq’s concerns. They apologized for the oversight and assured him that they were in the process of replacing the portrait with one of President Tinubu. Pleading with the comedian not to depart, they promised to rectify the situation immediately.
