Nollywood Stars Gather in Grand Celebration for Odunlade Adekola’s Mother’s 70th Birthday Party
The Nollywood community came together in full force to celebrate the 70th birthday of Deaconess Felicia Akoke Adekola, the beloved mother of actor Odunlade Adekola. The event, which took place in Abeokuta, witnessed an impressive turnout of over 100 Nollywood actors.
Notable figures spotted at the festivities included Mercy Aigbe and her husband Kazim Adeoti, Kemi Korede, Allwell Ademola, Ijebu, Jamiu Azeez, Kemi Afolabi Adesipe, Yinka Quadri, Omowunmi Ajiboye, Iya Rainbow, and many more.
During the birthday celebration, emotions ran high as Odunlade Adekola’s mother shed tears of joy. Videos shared on Odunlade’s Instagram page captured the touching moment when his mother became overwhelmed with gratitude during her speech. The actor himself expressed his own emotional state, acknowledging the profound impact of the moment. He prayed that no tears would be shed over the children of those in attendance.
A Thanksgiving service was also held on Sunday, May 21st, to commemorate the special occasion. Odunlade shared his heartfelt birthday wishes for his mother, affectionately referring to her as “Super Grandma” and expressing his love for her.
In addition to celebrating his mother’s birthday, Odunlade Adekola had previously commemorated his father’s retirement from the ministry. The actor shared videos from the retirement service, expressing gratitude to God for his father’s accomplishments. The event was attended by fellow colleagues in the entertainment industry, including Femi Adebayo Salami, Peju Ogunmola, Fathia Williams, Akin Olaiya, Ireti Osayemi, and Owolabi Ajasa, among others.
