Earlier today, a public accusation was made against Nollywood actress Adunni Ade, claiming that she owed a debt to the late actor Murphy Afolabi.
During the 8-day Fidau Prayer held in honor of Murphy Afolabi, the burial committee addressed the issue publicly, stating that Adunni Ade had an outstanding debt of N250,000 to Murphy Afolabi before his passing.
The committee further revealed that contrary to claims that Murphy owed money to various individuals, it was actually discovered that he had made a payment of N150,000 to Adunni Ade for a job.
“We have received a correction regarding the amount Murphy paid Adunni Ade, which is N250,000. We kindly request Adunni Ade to return the money to the burial committee as we are collecting funds for the deceased’s children. We earnestly plead for the money to be returned. Thank you. We also urge anyone else who may have money belonging to Murphy to kindly return it. May blessings be upon us,” the committee asserted.
In response, Wumi Toriola expressed her anger on Instagram, stating, “It’s not only me that has witnessed this nonsense. Adunni’s behavior is even worse. What is this? I am so furious. It’s unfortunate that it takes death for such things to happen. Rest in peace, Murphy.”
