Adunni Ade Faces Accusations of Outstanding Debt to Late Actor Murphy Afolabi
Adunni Ade, a prominent Nollywood actress, has come under public scrutiny after allegations arose claiming that she owed a substantial sum of money to the late actor Murphy Afolabi.
The accusations were brought to light during the solemn 8-day Fidau Prayer held in honor of Murphy Afolabi’s memory, where the burial committee took the opportunity to publicly address the issue and draw attention to Adunni Ade’s alleged debt.
According to the committee, Adunni Ade had an outstanding debt of N250,000 to Murphy Afolabi, which had remained unpaid prior to his untimely passing. In light of this, they made a direct plea to the actress, urging her to fulfill her financial obligation by promptly returning the owed amount.
The committee’s statement carried a sense of urgency: “Adunni Ade, we implore you to settle the N250,000 debt you owe the late Murphy Afolabi.”
In a separate incident, Adunni Ade recently expressed distress over an alleged threat to her life made by Koko Zaria, an affiliate of MC Oluomo and a prominent figure in the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). This added to the challenges and difficulties the actress has faced, particularly since her claims about payments made during the 2023 presidential election, which resulted in her garnering enemies and attracting criticism from within the Yoruba industry.
