Temidayo Morkinyo, an up-and-coming Nollywood actress, has made serious allegations against her senior colleague, Shoneye Olamilekan, popularly known as Papa Showw. She claims that Papa Showw physically assaulted her.
Using her Instagram story, Temidayo detailed the incident, stating that Papa Showw, accompanied by some individuals, forcefully entered the movie set in Ibadan, Oyo State, and attacked her. She alleged that he punched her in the face, causing a broken lip. The assault allegedly occurred on Thursday, May 18, after Temidayo reported Papa Showw’s disruptive behavior to her superiors.
Temidayo recounted that on the previous day, Papa Showw had rudely asked her to buy him a drink while on set. Although she felt disrespected by his tone, she complied with his request. Subsequently, she reported the incident to her bosses, Afeez Abiodun Seriki and Niyi Johnson, who assured her that they would address the matter with Papa Showw.
In a shocking turn of events, Papa Showw allegedly stormed Temidayo Morkinyo’s movie set with a group of individuals to physically assault her, following the reprimand he received.
Narrating the incident, Temidayo explained that on Wednesday, while she was engaged in conversation with a colleague, Papa Showw abruptly and rudely called her over to buy him a drink. Surprised by his disrespectful tone, she reluctantly fulfilled his request. However, upon returning to her hotel room, she reported the incident to her bosses, Niyi Johnson and Afeez Abiodun Seriki, who assured her that they would address the situation.
According to Temidayo, it is believed that one of her bosses contacted Papa Showw the following afternoon, which led to him arriving at the movie set with a group of people who proceeded to physically assault her. She claimed that Papa Showw repeatedly punched her in the face, showering her with curses. Despite efforts from others to restrain him, he persisted in attacking her until her lip was reportedly broken.
Temidayo’s family is now demanding justice for the alleged assault, as she claims to be in pain. She expressed her bewilderment at the reasons behind Papa Showw’s violent behavior, considering she had fulfilled his request without any complaints or attitude. She emphasized that her only intention was to report the incident to her superiors, Niyi Johnson and Afeez Abiodun Seriki.
