“Why We Are Unable to Assist Actors Appealing for Health Support on TV and Radio”- Mr. Latin

Mr. Latin Explains Why TAMPAN Cannot Help Actors Seeking Health Assistance on TV and Radio

During a recent interview on 32FM in Ibadan, Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr. Latin, shed light on the reasons why the Theatre Arts and Movies Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) is unable to provide assistance to certain ailing individuals in the movie industry.

As the President of TAMPAN, Mr. Latin revealed that the association has allocated over N10 million towards supporting actors facing health challenges since he assumed his position. However, he emphasized that actors who seek financial aid through television and radio appeals are not active members of TAMPAN. Consequently, the association is unable to extend support to them.

Mr. Latin further explained that TAMPAN solely assists active members who encounter health issues. He stated, “Since I became the President of TAMPAN, we have spent over N10 million on actors’ health challenges. The individuals you see appearing on TV or radio to solicit funds are not active members of the association. We always provide assistance to all active members in need.”
