Bobrisky, the controversial Nigerian transgender figure Idris Okuneye, has revealed that he no longer seeks to make new friends.
In a video shared on his Facebook page, Bobrisky explained that a negative experience from the past with friends had taught him a valuable lesson. Consequently, despite numerous friendship offers, he is choosing to decline them. Additionally, his partner has advised him against maintaining friendships.
Bobrisky, who has had public disputes with several close friends, including Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh and Lagos socialite Lady Golfer, emphasized that his intention is not to come across as arrogant. Rather, he simply desires peace and tranquility within himself.
He expressed, “I have been receiving calls from people, saying ‘Oh Bobrisky, let’s hang out, you are in Abuja.’ I’m sorry, we cannot hang out… I don’t like friends. Friends have caused me troubles. My boyfriend has warned me that, ‘babe, you don’t need any friend. Stay in your room.’ I prefer being alone in my room. I want my peace. So, I apologize for turning down many friend requests. I’m not trying to be proud; I just want my peace.”
