In a recent media interview, popular Yoruba movie actor Ifeoluwa Gbadegeshin, also known as Mr Fresh, shared new details about the untimely passing of fellow actor Murphy Afolabi. Contrary to initial reports, Ifeoluwa revealed that Murphy did not hit his head on a surface. Instead, eyewitnesses who were with Murphy at the time said he vomited and gradually collapsed.
According to Ifeoluwa, Murphy had plans for a movie production in the upcoming weekend. He had instructed his crew members to contact other actors who would be joining him on set. While Ifeoluwa was present, Murphy went to the bathroom to take a bath and later had a bowl of pap, a Nigerian porridge-like dish. Shortly after consuming the pap, Murphy started vomiting and eventually lost consciousness. Despite the efforts made to save his life, it was tragically too late.
Ifeoluwa stated in a video message, “Initially, we thought he hit his head on a surface, but eyewitnesses said he vomited and gradually collapsed. He had a movie production planned and instructed his crew to inform other actors about it. After going to the bathroom and eating pap, he started vomiting. Sadly, all attempts to save him were in vain. May God forgive his sins.”
