Kolawole Ajeyemi faces criticism for recording his emotional reaction to the passing of Murphy Afolabi (Video).

Nollywood actor and movie producer, Kolawole Ajeyemi, received backlash for recording himself in tears while mourning the loss of his colleague, Murphy Afolabi.

Late at night, Kolawole Ajeyemi took to his Instagram page and shared a video of himself shedding tears as he bid farewell to his friend and noted that it was a black Sunday.

However, many people criticized him in the comment section, accusing him of seeking attention by using the late actor’s death for clout. Some pointed out that he failed to publicly acknowledge Murphy on his birthday just days before, yet he was quick to publicly mourn his passing.

The comments ranged from questioning the need for the video to expressing disbelief at the sincerity of his grief.

Erick Olex commented, “Boss, this video is unnecessary. Murphy can’t see this video… Anyway, I empathize with you. May his soul rest in peace.”

Ashabi expressed, “Are you crying and recording???”

Olamipo Akin remarked, “It’s crazy how most of these celebrities didn’t post about him on his birthday, but now they’re sharing pictures and crying videos everywhere after his death. What a life.”

Climax stated, “Boss, there’s no need to film your sadness.”
