The sudden passing of Murphy Afolabi is particularly distressing, given that he had recently celebrated his 49th birthday on May 5th. Actress Yinka Solomon turned to social media to announce the heartbreaking news of the unnamed actor’s demise, expressing her sorrow over the loss of two esteemed Nollywood actors in a single day. The industry is enveloped in grief, as evidenced by the somber images shared by many on their timelines. Today is undeniably a dark Sunday for Nollywood, marking a profound loss for the community.

In a heartfelt post, she exclaimed, “Haaaaaa! Two people in Nollywood, Yah Allah. It’s a black Sunday. We belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return!”
